Chamonix's Neighbouring Skiing Resorts
With the Mont Blanc lift pass a number of neighbouring resorts can be easily accessed and skied from Chamonix giving you a vast range of skiing and meaning you never have to ski the same mountain twice in the week.
Megeve & St Gervais
The two linked resorts of St Gervais and Megeve offer a huge variety of intermediate cruising. They are both extremely French ski resorts so you wont be surprised to find that Megeve boasts the most Michelen starred restaurants in the alps. They are both excellent choices on bad weather days with sheltered tree lined runs; and as most people are there to be seen, not to ski, youll find that on inclement days it feels like youve got the place to yourself.
Courmayeur
Just a quick trip through the Mont Blanc tunnel and youll find yourself in Italy on the other side of the Mont Blanc range. Courmayeur has over 100km of piste, some great and varied terrain and, perhaps more importantly, allows you to ski in Italy for the day and enjoy an extended Italian lunch.
Les Contamines
Tucked away at the end of the valley after St Gervais and Megeve is the resort of Les Contamines. Les Contamines offers some fantastic skiing for advanced skiers (although the services of a guide will be required) whilst beginners and intermediates can keep themselves occupied with some 48 runs and 120 km of pistes.
